Suggested vision to Develop knowledge management at the faculties of the University of Shakra using the re-engineering approach

Abstract

The study aimed to crystallize a proposed vision for the development of knowledge management at the faculties of the University of Shakra in the light of the re-engineering approach. The study based on the descriptive method to clarify the theoretical framework for knowledge management, its main components and its current status in the faculties  of Shakra University, and the most important obstacles that hindered its achievement, were presented. The theoretical foundations of the re-engineering approach were explained and the possibility of using it in the development of knowledge management and the circulation and investment of knowledge in the university climate in the faculties of Shakra University. The study used the questionnaire that was applied to all the administrative leaders of Shakra University universities, which includes 24 scientific, health and humanities colleges. The sample included deans        of colleges, academic agents and academicchairmen to identify the extent of their agreement on the components and obstacles of knowledge management at Shakra University colleges. The study has reached the approval of the sample on the requirements of activating the knowledge management of the administrative leaders in the faculties of Shakra University, where the organizational culture ranked first, followed by information technology, the third rank comes the organizational leadership. Finally, the organizational structure comes as the minimum dimensions of the requirements of activating the knowledge management of the administrative leaders of university faculties and the respondents agreed on the existence of obstacles that limit the role of administrative leaders in activating the components of knowledge management in the emerging university. The study ended with the presentation of a proposed vision for activating the re-engineering approach in the development ofknowledge management processes at Shakra University.
