Faculty of Education Journal- Alexandria University (FEJ-AU) is a refereed scientific journal issued by the Scientific Publishing Department at the Faculty of Education- Alexandria University. The journal is a quarterly periodical and the main purpose of its publication is to advance scientific research and publish research and academic studies in the field of educational, humanities, social, and basic sciences. The journal is issued on a quarterly basis, and its first volume was issued in October 1988 AD. Faculty of Education Journal- Alexandria University (FEJ-AU) is continued to be issued regularly, as the number of volumes issued reached (34) annual volumes until 2024.

Faculty of Education Journal- Alexandria University (FEJ-AU) is interested in publishing research and studies that meet the requirements of scientific research in terms of originality of thought, clarity of methodology, and accuracy of documentation and analysis. Accepted articles are published in Arabic, English, or French.

In belief of the role of the faculties of education in developing educational research and disseminating educational knowledge produced by faculty members, researchers, and those concerned with educational science, the journal contains many educational studies and research interested in studying the educational and teaching problems experienced by the educational reality, which contributes to the journal in disseminating educational knowledge locally and regionally.

Faculty of Education Journal- Alexandria University (FEJ-AU) believes in the importance of scientific and educational research and the necessity of publishing it on the widest scale to deepen the scientific dialogue on educational issues. Hence, the journal opens its pages to publish serious and solid educational scientific research that discusses and addresses our educational and teaching issues with complete freedom and scientific integrity. The journal also seeks scientific solidity and methodological accuracy according to the scientific research method and its basic steps, and encourages serious objective criticism alongside distinguished scientific and literary creativity, provided that it is within the framework of scientific research ethics.

Plagiarism policy:

Accordingly, FEJ-AU has applied scientific integrity procedures to all research submitted to it since January 2024, as the journal sends a copy of the article submitted to it to the Digital Library Unit- Alexandria University (https://dlib-alexu.com/about/) to check scientific integrity, plagiarism, and citation rates to ensure adherence to ethical principles, professional standards, and basic values ​​in the practice of scientific research that help ensure that all aspects of the research process are completed in reliable and accurate ways.

Open access policy:

Faculty of Education Journal- Alexandria University (FEJ-AU) follows an open access policy; it allows the availability, downloading, use and sharing of its content with others without any restrictions. All articles published in the journal are available for free and immediately upon their publication. Authors and readers do not bear any expenses for viewing the journal’s content. The journal publishes its contents according to the open license: “CC-BY-NC Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial 4.0 International License,” which allows immediate free availability of the published content, and allows any reader to read, download, copy, print and distribute.

Copyright policy:

The journal allows the author(s) to hold the copyright, and to retain publishing rights without any restrictions.

Revenue Sources: 

The journal's financial sustainability is primarily supported through two key revenue streams. Firstly, Article Processing Charges (APCs) are levied on authors to cover the costs associated with the publication process, ensuring that their research is openly accessible to the global scientific community. Secondly, the journal benefits from substantial institutional support provided by the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB). This institutional backing not only enhances the journal's operational capabilities but also underscores its commitment to advancing open-access publishing and fostering academic excellence.

Dedication Policy:

Free copies of the journal are offered to the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research at Alexandria University, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the University Central Library, the Faculty of Education Library, the Chairman of the Educational Studies Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt, and anyone else decided by the journal’s editorial board in light of the journal’s interest in disseminating knowledge and ideas in the field of education, expanding the scope of its use, and in light of the interest of those scientific institutions in the areas of specialization that the journal is concerned with.
