The effectiveness of a training program based on the theory of multiple intelligence in the development of some skills of numerical sense in a sample of pupils in the fourth grade in the State of Kuwait

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to prepare a training program based on the theory of multiple intelligence and to identify its effectiveness in the development of some numerical sense skills in a sample of fourth grade pupils. The research sample consisted of (48) male pupils (25 pupils as an experimental group, and (23) pupils as a control group) The following tools were applied to the two sets of research (three measures of numerological skills) and then used the training program with the pupils of the experimental group through (40) training sessions. The pupils of the control group were not exposed to the impact of the training program and were left to use the traditional method. The criteria for numerical sense skills were applied retrospectively to the two sets of research. 'A month and a half later, these measures were applied to the experimental research group.' The data were analyzed using averages and standard deviations, 'one-way variance analysis' and 'T' Test (w2) Test to measure the impact of the training program' and the research results in the following results:
1-    There were no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group and the control group in the pre-measure - On numerical sense skills measures for fourth graders
2-    There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the average scores of the pupils of the experimental group and the pupils of the control group in the post-measurement on the numerical skills of the fourth grade pupils for the benefit of pupils in the experimental group.
3-    There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the average scores of pupils in the experimental group in pre-and post-measure on the numerical sense skills of the fourth-grade pupils for the benefit of telemetry.
4-    There were no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group pupils in post and follow-up measure on the numerical sense skills measures of the fourth graders.
