Abstract

    This study aimed to determine the level of intelligence of gifted students and students of ordinary at the secondary level students accordance with the test matrices of Raven in the al Balqa governorate also aimed to investigate the differences attributable to the variables of the study (sex, academic qualification for mothers) on the levels of intelligence of gifted students and average in classes listed in the province in the al Balqa gover norate.
    The study sample consisted of (160) students from the first grade and Second scaondary of king Abdullah II school of  Excellence and two schools belonging to the Ministry of Education in the in al Balqa governorate of them  (80) students from the king Abdullah II school of Excellence. And (80) students of them (40) students from secondary school and Salt city (40) student of Al Qadisiyah comprehensive school for Girls the Acadmic year . 2013/2014.
Was the use of test matrices Ravn and developer of the Environment of Jordan on the sample described for detecting the level of intelligence of the students were used means, standard deviations and test T-TEST and to examine the study questions were used ANOVA ONE WAY-ANOVA and to find out comparisons posteriori was used Scheffeh test. The results of the study concluded that the level of intelligence of gifted students was the level (high and very high) while the level of ordinary intelligence of the students was the level of intelligence (above average, average and low).
As well as the findings suggest that there was no statistically significant differences attributable to gender in the level of intelligence of gifted students and ordinary as the findings suggest the existence of statistically significant differences attributed to the qualification of the mothers were in favor of the category of mothers who have the degrees (studies high, Bachelor, and diploma) at the expense of mothers who dream of (guideline, and below).
