Abstract

The present research aimed at studying the relationship between self-stigma, loneliness and self-disclosure among students in residential institutions. Moreover, it examined the predictability of self-disclosure through self-stigma and loneliness.
The research sample consisted of (39) students in residential institutions in Damietta. It included (26) males and (13) females. Their ages ranged between 13 and 21 years.
The researcher designed three scales: self-stigma scale, loneliness scale and self-disclosure scale.
The research findings revealed a statistically significant positive correlation between the mean scores of students on self-stigma, loneliness and self-disclosure. It was also found that self-disclosure could be predicted by self-stigma and loneliness.
