The aim of this study is to present a research map to the Department of Educational Administration and Educational Policies at the Faculty of Education, Alexandria University, in order to assist researchers in the department to select their priority research topics worthy of research and study, and to focus attention on achieving effective interdependence between the educational research in the department and the Alexandrian community. Defining the current and future directions of the educational research productivity, so that it can be taken into through research production for postgraduate students or faculty members affiliated with it; thus, the department can enrich its scientific library with research production in order to achieve this, the study surveyed the literature and analyzed it to extrapolate the concept of the research map and its importance, and its role in overcoming some of the problems of educational research and its challenges, and monitoring the multiple efforts in building research maps in the educational departments in Egypt and the Arab world; And then draw the characteristics of the research map. Then The study analyzed the strategy of sustainable development adopted by the Egyptian government in 2015, which represents the vision of Egypt 2030, and put some mechanisms to link the educational research and activate it to serve this strategy and achieve it, and then classified domains and research issues in both fields (Educational Administration and Educational Policy), where the field of Educational Administration included seven research fields, including (34) research issues, while the field of Educational Policy in four domains, containing (14) research issues..
The field study focused on two main dimensions: Determining the objective directions of the research carried out in the department of educational administration and education policies through analyzing the master's and PHD dissertations for the postgraduate students in the department since its inception in 2006 until 2017. The research priorities of the research domains and issues of the department, the study was determined by the study, and in light of the findings of the study, it presented its vision for a research map for the department of educational administration and education policies in the period from (2018-2030).
