Abstract

The study aimed at exploring the importance of e-learning in the acquisition of scientific research skills from the point of view of the undergraduate and graduate students in Kuwait. The researchers used the descriptive survey method, and  prepared a questionnaire to measure the degree of scientific research skills possession among undergraduate and graduate students in light of a number of variables. The study sample consisted of (315) undergraduate male and female students from the College of Basic Education, Educational Technology Department at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, and (280) graduate students from Kuwait University. The study results show the importance of e-learning in acquiring research skills among students, and the degree of scientific research skills possession among students from undergraduate and graduate came medium despite the existence of noticeable weakness in scientific research skills among undergraduate students, where the arithmetic average of the field as a whole was (3.13). The results showed the presence of statistically significant differences (a = 0.05) due to sex variable, and differences came in favor of females, and the presence of statistically significant differences (a = 0.05) due to the variable academic stage, and differences came in favor of graduate studies students.
