Abstract

 
The objective of the study was to examine the role of the educational environment for Shari sciences instructional methods from Sharia and religion fundamentals faculty students' perceptions at King Khalid University- Abha. The sample of the study consisted of (73) students who studied Shari sciences instructional methods for the academic year                           (1434\ 1435). A questionnaire developed by the researchers was employed to assess students' perceptions towards the educational environment in Shari sciences instructional methods course. The questionnaire included (43) items distributing on (4) major domains: Teacher's instructional behavior, Course instruction location, Course content, Collaborative relationship between students and their colleagues.   
The results of the study showed statistically significant differences in students' responses in most questionnaire items, indicating the importance of this course for the students. Teacher's instructional behavior, Course instruction location, Course content, Collaborative relationship between students and their colleagues had high response rates. The results of the study found statistically significant differences                           ( α=0.05) in the 7th level students' responses at Sharia and Religion Fundamentals faculty towards the Shari science instructional methods course due to GPA, in favor of higher GPA students as they reported higher estimation degree for teacher's instructional behavior. The results of the study were discussed based on the literature review, then educational recommendation and suggested research were presented in light of the results obtained.
