تقييم إدراکات طلبة الجامعة لممارسات زملائهم المتعلقة بعملية تقييم التدريس

Abstract

 
 
This study aimed at investigating the students’ perceptions of peers’ practices related to  the evaluation process of  teachings.  Subjects were 508 bachelor students (132 male & 376 female) enrolled in a public Jordanian university at the first semester of the 2011/2012 academic year.  A questionnaire of ten items 4- responses- likert scale type along with two yes\no questions were administered after the students completed the official evaluation process of teaching. The items were designed to measure students’ perception of peers’ practices related to the evaluation  of teaching process.  The results showed that 10% only gave underestimated evaluations because of revenge and the desire to harm the teacher.  Moreover, less than 7% of the students gave biased evaluations due to the regional affiliations.  These percentages were not considered dangerous enough to say stop taking students’ opinions and evaluations into consideration.
