Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify the effectiveness of the program based on selective counseling To reduce dogmatism and developing a sense ofPsychological Flourishing among a sample of students of the Faculty of Education, University of Alexandria., the research sample consisted of 30 fourth-year, The research tools consisted of a measure dogmatism, a measure of Psychological Flourishing ,a program based on selective counseling (all prepared by the researcher),The results of the research indicated that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the experimental and control groups in the post measurement of dogmatism according to the effectiveness of the program based on selective counseling in favor of the control group., there were significant differences between the post- and follow-up measurements of dogmatism, which indicates the continuity of the effectiveness of the program based on selective counseling to reduce intellectual stagnation, and the results indicated that there are Statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the experimental and control groups in the post-measurement of the dimensions of Psychological Flourishing and their total sum according to the effectiveness of the program based on selective counseling in favor of the experimental group, as well as the presence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group students in the pre and post measurements of Psychological Flourishing in favor of the measurement dimensional, and no significant differences There is a statistically significant difference between the post and follow-up measures of Psychological Flourishing, which indicates the continuity of the effectiveness of the program based on selective counseling in developing a sense ofPsychological Flourishing among the research sample.
