Saint Bernard de Clairvaux (1090-1153AD) is a Christian Catholic theologian and leader of the Benedictine religious order. th AD. In particular, Bernard's writings discuss his sermons and ideas on theology, and he asks how does one live an ascetic life? He focused on the importance of spiritual mediation and the experience of knowing God through meditation or mystical light. He appealed to all Christians to observe asceticism and self-denial in their lives, in imitation of the life of Christ "peace be upon him". Bernard was born in Fontaine-les-Dijon, France in 1097 AD, and his father was a nobleman. When he was twenty-two yeFars old, Bernard entered the Benedictine monastery in the city of Seto. In 1115 AD he founded the Cistercian monastery in Clairvaux, and became its president. "Innocent II" and "Eugene III", which led to Bernard's assistance in assuming the papal seat, is the last of the Church Fathers. In 1141 AD, he participated in a church council that condemned the theologian "Peter Abelard" of leaving the religion. In 1146 AD, Eugene III made him responsible for organizing support for the Second Crusade. After the failure of the Second Crusade, Bernard's influence in European affairs faded. In 1174 AD, Bernard was given the title of saint after his death. Bernard is the first Cistercian to make a deliberate decision to write and publish his writings, and is not bound by the internal institutional regulations of the system.
