The research aims to understand and explain the relationship between narcissistic personality and cognitive distortions for student teacher, and identify the differences in narcissistic personality and cognitive distortions to gender (males-females), and identify the dimensions of cognitive distortion that predict narcissistic personality, and uncovering the factors behind high- low cognitive distortions and narcissistic personality of student teacher. The sample consisted of (417) students of faculty of education - Alexandria University. The following tools were used (cognitive distortions scale, and narcissistic personality scale). The results of the statistical analysis resulted in: (There are a positive correlation with statistical significance at the level 0.01 between narcissistic personality and cognitive distortions at the level of the overall degree and dimensions except for Self-blame and self-flagellation , There are significant differences between the means of the student’s degree in each of the group of males and females in cognitive distortions in the direction of males at the level of the overall degree and dimensions except for the mandatory rules, personalization and mind reading dimensions, There are significant differences between the means of the student’s degree in each of the group of males and females in the narcissistic personality in the direction of males at the level of the overall degree and dimensions except for the show dimension, and it’s also possible to Predict narcissistic personality through the dimensions of cognitive distortions among student teacher, and uncovering the factors behind high- low cognitive distortions and narcissistic personality of student teacher.
