Educational Leadership and Management of Educational Digital Platforms

Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the current usage status of educational leaders in managing digital educational platforms, elucidate the various roles that educational leaders can execute on these platforms, identify the obstacles and challenges faced by educational leaders in managing digital educational platforms, and finally propose a conceptual framework for educational leaders' management of digital platforms. The researcher employed a descriptive-analytical approach as well as qualitative analysis by conducting interviews with a study sample consisting of 30 educational leaders who are educational supervisors and have accounts with access and management permissions on the Cisco Academy platform, working in schools in Alexandria Governorate. The researcher attempted to assess the reality of educational leaders' management of digital educational platforms through interview tools with the study sample. The study reached several conclusions, including the effective management of educational leaders, as evidenced by the actual number of students registered on the platform, which can be applied to all educational platforms used by the Ministry of Education, the number of open courses, and internationally accredited certificates from Cisco that students obtained despite their commitment to regular learning. Finally, the researcher proposed a conceptual framework for managing digital educational platforms.
