This research aimed to investigate the role of art museums in fostering knowledge and national identity among Basic Education College students. The study employed a descriptive methodology to explore this phenomenon. The research sample comprised 300 students from the Basic Education College. The research instrument used was a questionnaire on the role of art museums in fostering knowledge and national identity among Basic Education College students. The research yielded several significant findings, including the positive role of art museums in developing knowledge and national identity among Basic Education College students. The results indicated that the highest levels of knowledge influence regarding the role of art museums (explanation and clarification) were rated at a very high level with a relative weight of (4.26), followed by the level of (application) at a high level with a relative weight of (4.35), then the level of (interpretation) at a high level with a relative weight of (4.15). Similarly, the highest dimensions of national identity influenced by the role of art museums (loyalty to the nation) were rated at a very high level with a relative weight of (4.26), followed by the level of (pride in the nation) at a very high level with a relative weight of (4.32), then the level of (national identity) at a very high level with a relative weight of (4.31), followed by the level of (community participation) at a very high level with a relative weight of (4.25). Additionally, the research results affirmed that there were no statistically significant differences attributable to categorical research variables (gender, academic year), while the results indicated statistically significant differences attributable to the variable "number of visits to art museums" in favor of higher visitation numbers. Based on these findings, the research recommended that higher education authorities’ direct attention to the role of art museums in fostering knowledge and national identity among Basic Education College students.
