Abstract

The research aimed to determine the effectiveness of a proposed course to develop the conceptual understanding of plasma physics and its Life applications, and to develop some future thinking skills among students of physics teachers at the College of Education ,To conduct this research, a quasi-experimental research approach with a single group design was used, where the research sample consisted of (35) male and female students from the second and third levels in the Physics Department at the Faculty of Education, Alexandria University, The research instruments include the preparation of the proposed course in plasma physics and its life applications, a test of conceptual understanding of plasma physics and its real-world applications, and a scale of future thinking skills related, The research instruments were applied to the purposive research sample, and data was collected before and after the experimental application, The results of the present research revealed the effectiveness of the proposed course in developing research variables. The research recommended merging the proposed course within the physics teacher preparation programs in the faculties of education, to enable them to teach the field of physics in an updated and stimulating way, and to prepare a generation of students who possess a deep understanding of the practical applications of physics in their daily lives, as well as holding training courses for in-service physics teachers. To develop their conceptual understanding of plasma physics and its life applications.
