Abstract

 
          This research aimed at investigating the relationship between both of  tolerance (with self , other and the total score of tolerance), optimism and psychological well-being for a sample of adolescents secondary stage students and identifying the effect of sex on the research variables , and the Possibility to predict in psychological well-being in view of tolerance (with self , other and the total score of tolerance)and optimism among a sample of (274) Of the second secondary years students in  Minia schools, (150) female+(124) male with average age)(16.189) and  SD (0.668). the tolerance scale was used  prepared by the researcher,(2014), the optimism scale was used  prepared by the researcher,(2014) and psychological well-being scale prepared by Ahmed Mohamed Jad Elrab,(2010). The results of the research proved that there were No statistically significant differences between males and females in tolerance (with self , other and the total score of tolerance), optimism and psychological well-being. The results of the research proved also that there were Statistically significant positive  correlation relationship was found between tolerance (with self , other and the total score of tolerance) and psychological well-being. And there were Statistically significant positive  correlation relationship was found between optimism and psychological well-being , The results of regression analysis demonstrated that tolerance (with self , other and the total score of tolerance), optimism predicted the psychological well- being for the study sample.
