The discriminating ability of both social intelligence and academic achievement for the level of psychological security among female university students

Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the discriminatory ability of social intelligence and academic achievement in distinguishing between high and low levels of psychological security for female university students. The study sample amounted to (240) female university students who were randomly selected from the scientific and humanities departments. The researcher used two measures: the social intelligence measure. And a measure of psychological security. The study reached many results, including: the discriminating power of both the variables of social intelligence and academic achievement in distinguishing between female university students with high and low psychological security. Which confirms that both social intelligence and academic achievement have the ability to distinguish between high and low levels of psychological security among female university students. The results also showed that there is a direct correlation between social intelligence and psychological security among the sample members, with statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01). between female students with high academic achievement and female students with low academic achievement in psychological security in favor of high altitudes. The study presented many recommendations and proposals in light of the results reached.
